Carved from a solid block of dark wood, Tarana Halim’s sculpture features stylized facial features defined by bold, geometric cuts and deep chisel marks. Its opposing side echoes this same visage inverted, creating a continuous, mirrored dialogue within a single totem structure.

This dual, upside-down arrangement explores the duality of human nature, perception, and hidden identity. By anchoring two contrasting faces to the same wooden core, the piece reflects how light and shadow, consciousness and memory, exist bound together in silent harmony.
