Ivy Zaman reimagines traditional Buddhist
iconography by replacing solid mass with open
space. The bronze outline retains the unmistakable
contour of a meditating figure, crowned by the
ushnisha, letting light pass freely through its hollow
core.

The piece creates a striking contrast between
patinated, rusted bronze and a raw wooden
pedestal. By stripping away intricate detail, the
minimalist sculpture turns empty space into a
powerful representation of emptiness, balance, and
timeless spiritual peace.
