A hand carved, organic ceramic form merges the maternal human torso with the raw texture of a weathered tree trunk. Lekh Nesa Khatun scores the dark clay with deep vertical grooves, giving the sculpture a bark like surface that emphasizes growth, endurance, and nature as the ultimate caregiver.

At the center of the torso, a carved hollow cradles a delicate nest where tiny nestlings peer outward. By physically embedding the bird nest into the womb like cavity, the artwork beautifully connects human motherhood with the sanctuary of the natural world, capturing a universal story of protection, shelter, and maternal devotion.
